Taliban commander killed in North Waziristan

A senior commander of militant organisation Tehreek-i-Taliban has been killed during a clash with security forces in the mountainous region of North Waziristan in northwest Pakistan.

Mohammad Hasan, who hailed from Kabul, was killed in a clash in North Waziristan's Boya area, Dawn quoted a TTP spokesperson as saying in a statement, adding that he was recently released from an Afghan prison and had "reunited with his comrades" in Pakistan.
