Tax exemption for martyred policemen in south Delhi

The families of Delhi Police, paramilitary personnel and municipal employees, who sustained injuries or died during service, will get property tax exemption in south Delhi.

The proposal was passed by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation Wednesday and will become effective once passed by the north and east Delhi corporations in their standing committee meetings.

The proposal was placed by councillor and leader of house Subhash Arya, the civic body said in the statement.

The sportsmen, who have won medal during Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, have already been given property tax exemption.
