Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan Thursday participated in the Clean India programme.
Wielding a broom, the governor, along with his wife and Raj Bhavan employees, cleaned a road in Raj Bhavan colony. He also dusted the benches in a local school.
The first couple also uprooted the weeds in the school premises.
The governor administered a pledge to Raj Bhavan employees and advised them to administer similar oath to 100 others.
Appealing to people of both the states to take part in the campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the governor said every citizen should make cleanliness a habit and keep his surroundings clean.
