At least 10 suspected militants were killed and 15 injured when Pakistani security forces launched a massive aerial assault Thursday in parts of Khyber tribal region, media reported.
The airstrikes in Bara tehsil were aimed at the militants involved in recent attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in parts of Punjab, Dawn online reported citing security sources.
Jet fighters are still carrying out assaults but media personnel do not have free access to the area, the report said.
Meanwhile, a search operation was also conducted after security forces received a tip-off regarding the whereabouts of militants who may be behind the attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in parts of Punjab.
