Members of British band The Wanted have been accused of verbally threatening a man and throwing alcohol from their hotel balcony on him.
Singers Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker and Sive Kaneswaran were celebrating the birthday of fellow member Jay McGuiness here when they showered the drink in spur of the moment on Todd Swift.
Swift claims that he was coming from the gym when the incident took place, reports thesun.co.uk.
"What sort of example are they setting to their young fans? I came out of the gym and was walking down the street," an angry Swift said.
"Suddenly, I was hit with a lot of liquid. It was not, as the police claim, a glass of champagne. It was a lot of liquid. It went all over my hat, jacket, shirt and face. I looked up to the second floor and there were three young guys laughing at me. One of them said, 'P*** and beer, mate'," he added.
However, according to the Scotland Yard, the police force here, there was no substantial evidence to charge the boys with anything.
According to a spokesperson of Scotland Yard, police were called on July 25 to a report of a man having been verbally threatened and having had a liquid substance thrown over him at a hotel in Marylebone.
"Officers returned the next day, July 26, and spoke to the party identified. It was ascertained that a glass of champagne had been thrown, but there was no evidence of who, if anyone, had actually done this or been involved in any verbal altercation," he added.
Recently, singer Justin Bieber was also spotted spitting from his balcony while his fans waited for his glimpse on the road.
