At least three people having links with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi were arrested as the Counter Terrorism Department of police foiled a terror attack on a shrine in Punjab province.
They were arrested when a CTD team on Thursday raided a house near the shrine in Bahawalnagar district, Dawn online quoted an official as saying.
The CTD official said three IEDs, arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possessions.
In another raid, a Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan militant was arrested in Faisalabad city of Punjab province, the official said.
