Police have arrested three people posing as Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) representatives and trying to sell rice processing technology for several crores of rupees to prospective buyers, a Goa Police spokesperson said on Saturday.
The accused Etheeq Ahmed and Keshav Murti, both from Bengaluru and Ajay Kumar from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, have been arrested and booked for cheating at the Anjuna police station, the spokesperson told reporters here.
"They were impersonating as members of the DRDO, a government of India organisation," the spokesperson said.

The arrests were carried out after one of the prospective buyers of the technology, smelled something fishy about the credentials of the trio, and complained to the police.
"They claimed to have the technology developed by the DRDO and were selling it on the side," the spokesperson further said.
