Three killed in tractor-trolley accident near Lucknow
Three people, including a minor, were killed and 17 others injured Monday near the Uttar Pradesh capital when a tractor-trolley carrying people of a wedding party overturned, police said.
The accident took place in Ramnagar area of Barabanki when the hook attaching the trolley to the tractor detached all of a sudden, causing the trolley to turn turtle, police said. Barabanki is about 30 km from here.
Sachin, 7, Bhaghirath, 60, and Vishal, 18, died on the spot, Lucknow's Inspector General of Police (IG) Subhash Chandra told IANS.
The injured have been admitted to a local medical facility while the bodies have been sent for autopsy.
