Toddler sexually assaulted in Delhi playschool

A three-year old girl was sexually assaulted by the 24-year-old son of the owner of the playschool she was attending, police said Friday.

The incident occurred Thursday in west Delhi's Hari Nagar area.

Accused Vikas was arrested Friday after the victim's parents informed the police Thursday.

A police officer said: "The girl's parents told us that she came home crying yesterday (Thursday). She was taken to a hospital after she complained of pain in her private parts."

He added: "She has identified the accused, who confessed to the police that he sexually assaulted her inside the school premises."

This is the second incident of rape in the past two days.

An employee of a playschool located in west Delhi's Rohini area was Thursday arrested for sexually assaulting a two-and-half-year-old girl after she identified him.

Meanwhile, angry parents and relatives of the victim Friday staged protest near the school in Rohini and demanded action against the principal.
