'Tom Cruise more competent than most stuntmen'

Los Angeles, April 20 (IANS) Hollywood star Tom Cruise is better and competent than most professional stuntmen in the industry, says Rob Alonzo, assistant stunt coordinator in "Jack Reacher".

"Tom is so well rounded, he's better than most stuntmen. He's an incredible driver, an incredible fighter and stunt performer," contactmusic.com quoted Alonzo as saying.

"He flies planes, he knows how to ride horses, he rides motorcylces, so any director would be lucky to have a guy like that because they can keep the camera on him the whole time and it's more engaging," he added.

Alonzo also said that Cruise, 50, prefers to do his own stunts as he wants the best moviegoing experience for the audience.

Cruise plays the lead character of a drifter and former Military Police Corps officer in "Jack Reacher".
