Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that midfielder Harry Winks will miss the rest of the English football season due to a left ankle injury.
The 21-year-old had to leave the pitch on a stretcher during Tottenham's 2-0 victory against Burnley in the English Premier League (EPL) on Saturday, after a collision with defender Stephen Ward, reports Efe.
"The England Under-21 international will continue to be monitored by our medical team during his recovery and will be unavailable for the remainder of the season," the London side said in a statement on Tuesday.
Winks joins Tottenham's list of injured players, which includes Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela.
