The Toy Biz International Expo is all set to get rolling from July 21 here with over 100 exhibitors expected to participate in the seventh edition of the event, organisers said Tuesday.
Organised by the Toy Association of India (TAI), the business-to-business (B2B) event themed 'Destination India' will be held at the city's exhibition and convention centre Pragati Maidan.
"This year's theme is Destination India to demonstrate the potential of Indian toy industry's creativity," Sunil Nanda, president of TAI, said in a statement.
He added that toy has become a lifestyle product. "Indian toys are contributing towards the new teaching methods in schools. Edutainment is the buzzword," Nanda said.
"First generation entrepreneurs from the National Institute of Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Pearl and other design colleges are actively taking up toy designing as hobby. Institutes like NIFT will showcase new and innovative designs of students in their final semester," Sunil Garg, secretary of TAI, said.
The event will end July 23.
