Singer Tulisa Contostavlos is reportedly planning to move to Miami to start a new life.

The 24-year-old singer, who has been arrested and bailed over her suspected involvement in setting up a drug deal, is planning to move on from Britain and start again in the US, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"Tulisa says as soon as all this drama is over, she wants to move to Miami to start a new life. She loves it there and has friends there who say they will help her out," a source told Closer magazine.

"With her career hanging in the balance, she may need to leave her mansion, and it holds bitter memories for her now anyway," the source added.

As Contostavlos is on bail, she is not allowed to leave the country, but she is confident once she makes it to the US, she will be able to concentrate on her music career.

The source added: "She said she feels 'trapped' and 'suffocated' in England, she wants a new life in the US, where she hopes to establish herself as a solo artist."

The singer is also making sure she is only surrounded by her closest family and friends she can trust.

"She plans to cut off '90 percent' of her friends. She's turning to her mum, (rappers) Dappy, Fazer and personal assistant Gareth Varey, who's been with her since the start. She knows he's got her back. She is already looking at potential areas to move to in Miami," the source added.
