Two films from the Children's Film Society India (CFSI) - "Gopi Gawaiya Bagha Bajaiya" and "Kaphal" - have been selected for screening at the prestigious Mumbai Film Festival starting Oct 17.
"Gopi Gawaiya Bagha Bajaiya", directed by Shilpa Ranade, will be screened in the India Gold Competition category while Batul Mukhtiar's "Kaphal" will be shown in the New Faces in Indian Cinema section.
"It is a proud moment for CFSI. All the credit goes to Shilpa Ranade and Batul Mukhtiar! And kudos to Nandita Das for supporting the two fabulous filmmakers," Amole Gupte, chairman, CFSI, said in a statement.
These films will also be screened at the upcoming 18th International Children's Film Festival of India to be held in Hyderabad from Nov 14.
