Two schools have been booked here for violating closure orders till Jan 20.
A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against the schools at Indirapuram police station for not following the district magistrate's instructions.
"On Friday, we conducted videographs and submitted them to police. The cases have been registered under section 188 of CrPC against two public schools operating their business in the Indirapuram area," said Ranvijay Singh, circle officer IV of Ghaziabad police.
"Under the section, a provision of one month imprisonment and a penalty of Rs.2000 exists," he added.
Although some schools in Raj Nagar area were also found open but they were not conducting classes. Only the students preparing for the Republic Day function were called and that too with the parents' consent.
