Two people were killed in a shooting inside a department store here, Xinhua reported citing authorities.
The shooting took place around 2.45 p.m. Sunday at the Home Depot store on 23rd Street and Sixth Avenue in Lower Manhattan.
Police confirmed that one man was declared dead at the scene, and another was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The victims' identities have not been released and the circumstances of the shooting were unclear.
CBS reported that the gunman, who was an employee at the store, shot a man, who was a supervisor in the lighting department, before turning the gun on himself.
