The Haryana government has ordered suspension of a revenue official and action against another retired official for flouting rules in transfer of flats and plots meant for poor families.
They are accused of committing irregularities in registration of sale deeds of plots and flats allotted to persons belonging to the Economicaly Weaker Section (EWS) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) categories.
This was revealed by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday while presiding over a monthly meeting of the district grievances redress committee in Gurugram.
As many as 20 complaints were put up before the Chief Minister in the meeting, out of which maximum were sorted out on the spot, officials said.
A complaint pertaining to unauthorized registry of flats and plots allotted to EWS and BPL categories was brought to the notice of Chief Minister. These cannot be transferred till five years of allotment and sale deeds of these plots/flats can not be registered, but the then naib tehsildars of Gurugram and Badshahpur allowed registration of these flats and plots.
As many as 11 such properties were registered, officials said.
The matter was investigated by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board.
In his investigation, the CEO found both Naib Tehsildars guilty. On the basis of the CEO report, the Chief Minister directed to suspend the then Naib Tehsildar of Gurugram, Rupinder, and to take action against retired Naib Tehsildar Ayub Khan.
