Abu Dhabi, Nov 11 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates' (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said Monday that his country has a peaceful nuclear programme and his government will not enrich uranium.
"The UAE has a nuclear programme, which is peaceful, transparent and witnesses acceptance and international partnership and we are not going to enrich uranium," Al Nahyan said while addressing a joint press conference with visiting US Secretary of State John Kerry.
The minister said that relations between the UAE and the United States were "at their best", and that the current visit to Abu Dhabi by Kerry was evidence of the strength of the relationship.
