Three Ugandan athletes will take part in the 2017 Wuhan Marathon slated for April 9 in China.
Felix Ekikana, who won the Entebbe Marathon, teams up with Robert Lubega and John Kateregga to compete in the event, which includes half-marathon, marathon and health run of 10km, reports Xinhua news agency.
The number of participants is estimated to exceed 20,000.
"We are happy to have as many runners compete in international Championships," Beatrice Ayikoru, the Secretary of the Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF) said
Uganda's top athlete Stephen Kiprotich, the 2012 London Olympics Marathon gold medallist, will not compete in Wuhan as he is preparing for the Hamburg Marathon scheduled to take place on April 23.
