Virgin Atlantic on Wednesday said it has expanded its codeshare agreement with Jet Airways which will enable passengers to collect boarding passes issued at the originating airport in India or Britain.
"We already operate a successful codeshare with Jet Airways between Mumbai and London and we're delighted that our partnership is allowing us to open up other popular destinations in India for our customers," Virgin Atlantic's India and Middle East head Nick Parker said in a statement.
Under the agreement, Virgin Atlantic customers will be able to purchase tickets from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata, connecting between its Delhi-London air service and Indian domestic codeshare flights operated by Jet Airways.
The British airline which has a fleet of six Boeing 787-9s - the newest aircraft in its fleet, is expecting 11 more of the same aircraft by the end of 2018.
