The Gurgaon police arrested a criminal, wanted for shootouts at Rewari and Mahendergarh courts, along with his two accomplices, police said Sunday.
Vivek Sharma, joint commissioner of Gurgaon police said Palam Vihar crime branch team arrested Kuldeep alias Doctor, 28, along with his aides, Kamal and Charan Singh (both in their early twenties) Saturday night.
They were nabbed from the Tau Devi Lal park here in sector 22 while they were planning the murder of a man in village Badhrana (Rewari) on Holi (March 17). Three country-made pistols and cartridges were recovered from their possession.
Kuldeep of Khayra village in Mahendergarh district of south Haryana was an MBBS aspirant from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak. He studied medical science for more than three years and was good in studies.
"He left the medical line a few years back to become a property dealer," said Sharma.
"Kuldeep hatched the conspiracy to eliminate gangster Jeeta Gurjjar and the latter's aide and property dealer Bablu alias Babbu. His (Kuldeep) aides Pradeep alias Sikara and his gang members shot dead Jeeta Gurjjar Feb 11 in the Rewari court premises while Bablu was attacked Feb 17 in the Mahendergarh court premises. However, injured Bablu managed to escape," the officer added.
Crime Branch chief Sandeep Kumar told IANS the trio were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate (1st Class) Ritu Malik Sunday and sent to Narnaul jail.
Kuldeep's lawyer told the court his client might face attack on his life in Bhondsi Jail by inmates who were associates of slain Jeeta Gurjjar.
Kuldeep was carrying a reward of Rs.20,000 for his capture.
