The CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala has promised to provide the basic needs of the society such as water and electricity for all besides strengthening the health and educational facilities in their local body poll manifesto released here on Sunday.
The voting would be held on November 2 and November 5.
With the assembly polls slated for next year, the LDF hopes to put up an excellent show in the coming civic polls. In the 2010 elections, the Congress-led United Democratic Front won more than 60 percent of the total seats.
Addressing reporters here after the LDF meeting that cleared the manifesto, convenor Vaikom Viswan said the front was still busy finalising the seat-sharing with its allies and was confident of doing well in the polls.
