A woman was killed and 13 other people were injured when suspected ULFA militants triggered a blast in Assam's Dibrugarh town Tuesday evening, police said.
The blast took place in the busy Amolapatty area, said Dibrugarh Superintendent of Police Rana Bhuyan.
The explosion injured 14 people, including two women, one of whom later died of her injuries at a hospital, Bhuyan said.
Dibrugarh town is around 450 km from Assam's main city Guwahati.
"We suspect the hand of the anti-talk faction of the ULFA militants behind the blast. However, details are awaited," said Assam Home Secretary G.D. Tripathy.
