A woman and her nephew were shot dead by unidentified assailants in Delhi, police said on Thursday.
Police said the incident took place late on Thursday when Meena, 45, and Sharad, 24, were going to Gurugram from Shikarpur village in west Delhi on a two-wheeler.
"Assailants opened fire at them, killing them on the spot. It appears to be a case of old animosity or gang rivalry," Deputy Commissioner of Police Surender Kumar said.
Meena, a native of Jhajjar in Haryana, was staying in Gurugram, while Sharad was a resident of Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh, police said.
