The Indian woman of today is harnessing the digital advantage to maximize their potential to realize the goal of a Digital India, speakers at a seminar here said.
The SHEROES Summit, themed Women Make Digital India, was the concluding session of the tri-city event.
"The summit emerged as a platform for women from various professional backgrounds to connect and share their experiences, explore monetizing avenues for themselves beyond the nine-to-five work cycle in order to contribute to national development in the current technology-driven times," a statement said.
The first and second sessions of the SHEROES Summit were held in Delhi and Mumbai.
The summit deliberated upon potential career paths, transformation, growth opportunities and professional journeys of successful women entrepreneurs.
Flipkart co-founder, entrepreneur and investor Binny Bansal, while extrapolating how SHEROES make a difference in the current innovative environment said: "We are open to hiring women who have been on break and are skilled. We don't look at experience; our HR process is focused on hiring problem-solving people."
His message to fellow entrepreneurs was clear: "Decision-making needs to be swift and fast on building the right teams, hiring talent and including women in the team; and that "technology can change the current supply-chain challenges.
"We look at the entrepreneur and the mission before deciding to invest," Bansal added.
Sairee Chahal, founder and CEO of SHEROES.in, said: "Digital India is making women independent in many ways and at SHEROES.in we are putting women's careers on the map by using digital to speed up the pace of change. The summit is an extension of our goal to encourage women to take charge, and contribute to the India's growth story."
