A 23-year-old youth was shot dead near his house here in the early hours of Monday, police said.
The incident took place in Vijay Park area of Bhajanpura in east Delhi around 1 a.m., Deputy Commissioner of Police A.K. Singla told IANS.
Singla said that the assailants fired around 15 bullets at Arif and fled. No arrest has been made so far.
Around 12.30 a.m., Arif received a phone call and went out of the house while talking on the phone.
Later his father heard gun shots and rushed out to see two people running away, Singla said.
Arif's body was later found near the house and the family informed police.
The body has been shifted to GTB Hospital for autopsy.
