After playing coy characters in "Siya Ke Ram" and "Ballika Vadhu", actress Yukti Kapoor is excited to play a 'rough and tough' role in upcoming fiction show "Agnifera".
"The character of Ragini is nothing like what I have played till now on screen. She is a firebrand who believes that the only way to convince someone is by threatening them. She is rough and tough by nature but is also very funny," Yukti said in a statement.
She added: "I am excited to be portraying a role like this as I am sure my fans will be really surprised to see this new side of me. Right from the dialect to my mannerisms, everything is a complete departure from what they have seen me as."
In "Agnifera", she will be seen alongside Ankit Gera. The show will go on air on &TV from March 20.

Shivangi Joshi not planning to settle down anytime soon
Actress Shivangi Joshi says she had fun shooting a reel wedding for "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai", but she doesn't intend to get married in real life anytime soon.
The Star Plus show will soon feature a grand wedding sequence shot in Bikaner. Shivangi plays the role of Naira.
"It literally felt like a real marriage is taking place. For once, even the on-lookers who gathered at Lalgarh Palace when we were shooting thought it was a real wedding. This is proof enough for the kind of treatment and magnificence my reel wedding has," Shivangi said in a statement.
She added: "I've been wearing this bridal attire for the last 20 days now and I think for now this experience is the best I've had, my real wedding will take time. I've cried so much for my bidaai sequence that I am sure as hell that I won't be crying on my real wedding."

Special tribute to Sridevi in 'Dil Hai Hindustani'
Delhi-based Simran Raj, a contestant on singing reality TV show "Dil Hai Hindustani", paid tribute to Bollywood actress Sridevi with her performance.
The 15-year-old used to dance on "Mere hathon mein nau nau chudiyan hain" ever since she was a little girl. And now she decided to pay tribute to Sridevi by singing the same song.
"Everyone used to gather around me and record videos as I used to perform the song with the whole attire. I feel like I haven't grown up at all, that I am still the princess everyone adores! I feel truly blessed," Simran said in a statement.
The show is aired on Star Plus.
