Analogies galore

Sometime back, expelled Goa Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Subhash Velingkar had described Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs in Goa as “asuras” (demons) and held Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar responsible for the degeneration of the saffron party in the coastal state. Now Parrikar has identified his own set of “asuras”. With demonetisation, Parrikar said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has attacked four “asuras” — black money, corrupt wealth, terror money and drug money — in one go. This interesting analogy came days after Information and Broadcasting Minister and senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu explained the three steps to cleanliness as propounded by Prime Minister Modi as swachh mann (clean heart), swachh tan (clean body) and swachh dhan (clean money).
