A key executive at French retail chain Carrefour's India operations is believed to be moving back to its headquarters at Boulogne-Billancourt in Paris. Among other things, this director-level official has been responsible for identifying real estate and locations of the India stores, so his shift has triggered fresh speculation that the world's second-largest retailer may not be keen on India at this point. Carrefour's first India store, catering to the wholesale trade, opened at the end of 2010 and the chain has five stores so far.
