They have shouted themselves hoarse against crony capitalism for years but never received the kind of media coverage that Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal does. CPI (M) members of Parliament were the first to raise the issue of gas pricing involving Reliance Industries Ltd. Sources in the CPI (M) say Kejriwal was a frequent visitor to their AKG Bhawan headquarters in New Delhi until some months back. He would sit with Left MPs to understand the complexities of the issue, taking back with him copious research material. Kejriwal stopped his visits in the aftermath of his success in the Delhi elections with TV cameras chasing him round the clock. Left leaders say they are happy the issue is under spotlight. But life just hasn't seemed as fair to the occupants of the AKG Bhawan ever since Kejriwal managed to make gas pricing into a poll issue.
