Letters: Double-edged weapons

This refers to Andrew Sheng's article "The coming CLASS war" (September 1). The US has the best definition of territory - its foreign policy. The nation has laws that have jurisdiction over other nations - like its tax laws and defence equipment exports. The US makes it mandatory for the end-user verification of its weapons sold to other nations, which other exporters of military equipment like Russia, France and so on do not insist. This end-user verification clause is an intrusion in importing nation's affairs. Nuclear weapons, however, are a big deterrent, and if used could lead to the end of human civilisation. While space is a new area, robots are also another territory in the CLASS (cyberspace, land, air, sea and space) war.
