Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was all praise for her ‘pyaari choti didi’ (lovely little sister) Mamata Banerjee at the inauguration of the new railway station building in the capital. Not only did she find the work excellent, she liked the fact that the Railways had an aquarium in the building.
Fish, she said, were considered auspicious by Bengalis and should be there in all new buildings. While doing so, though, Dikshit had a little bit of a problem. She was speaking in Hindi and forgot the word for aquarium, so she did was most people would do under the circumstances and explained what she was talking of — ‘talaab ki tarah cheeze’ (things like ponds).
