Blaming RJD for bringing long-time association on the brink of collapse, Lokjanshakti Party (LJP) today said a crucial party meeting had been called on Saturday where Ramvilas Paswan would be asked to take a decision on the alliance.

"Today the long-time alliance is on the brink of collapse...RJD is responsible for this undoubtedly," state party spokesman Lallan Kumar Chandravanshi said in a statement here.

"The alliance has come to such a pass where LJP chief Ramvilas Paswan will be asked to take a clear cut decision," he said.

Chandravanshi said a crucial party meeting had been called in Delhi on December 28 to discuss the future course of action.

A LJP delegation from Bihar under the leadership of General Secretary Satyanand Sharma left for Delhi today for the meeting, he said.

"If need arises, LJP has the potential to contest all 40 seats in Bihar," he said.

Spiting fire against Lalu Prasad's party, he said the party had not disassociated itself from the controversial statement of RJD Vice President Raghubansh Prasad Singh in which he had asked LJP and other allies to bring names of their 'pahelwan' (potential candidate) and said after assessing their potential, seats would be allocated.

He said despite regular provocations from RJD, Paswan and its state chief Pashupati Paras had never made any public comments detrimental to the alliance.
