Former Indian Army chief Gen. V K Singh Tuesday submitted his reply to a breach of privilege notice served on him by the speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly.
The notice was over alleged payoffs to ministers and MLAs in the state from the army's secret funds during Gen. Singh's tenure.
According to an assembly spokesman, Speaker Mubarak Gul said he received a copy of the reply from Gen. Singh along with a CD.
The spokesman said the reply would be examined by the speaker for deciding the further course of action in the matter.
Some ministers and legislators in Jammu and Kashmir had moved a breach of privilege motion in the assembly against Gen. Singh for his alleged disclosure that mainstream politicians, including ministers and legislators, had received the army's secret funds during his tenure.
