The Lok Sabha was Tuesday adjourned for the day following disruptions over the Telangana and 1984 anti-Sikh riot issues.
As soon as the house reconvened at 12 noon, members from Andhra Pradesh, favouring as well as opposing the proposed state of Telangana, rushed to the well of the house.
While Seemandhra members carried placards hailing a united Andhra Pradesh, Telangana members shouted slogans demanding the early creation of the separate state.
Shiromani Akali Dal members too added to the ruckus with placards and sloganeering, demanding Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi name those behind the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Amid the pandemonium, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the house for the day.
Due to protests over Telangana, the house was adjourned till 12 noon, barely minutes after the proceedings began at 11 a.m.
