'Some unpleasant incidents like terror attack in Bodh Gaya and police firing on tribals in Bagha have happened. But such things take place everywhere,' Kumar told reporters emerging from the weekly 'Janata Ke Darbar me Mukhya Mantri' programme.
'There is no slide in law and order situation in Bihar ... Aren't people roaming trouble free in the state late in the evenings?' he said, adding prompt action has been taken in all crime cases and impartial probe has been ordered into them.
Referring to the serial blasts at Bodh Gaya, Kumar expressed confidence that NIA would nail the truth and urged the Centre to provide CISF cover to the world famous Buddhist shrine.
On BJP president Rajnath Singh's allegations that Bihar appears to be returning to the jungle raj days during RJD regime after the party's departure from government, Kumar said, 'People have to say something to make political points but there is no truth in it.'
Kumar faced protests from contractual appointees of agriculture department, who also created noisy scenes in front of him at the programme demanding regularisation of job and alleged that the department was ignoring even the chief minister's order.
The agitators protested outside Kumar's house too.
