Senior AIADMK leaders urge Sasikala to lead the party

Senior leaders of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on Saturday urged Sasikala to take the party on the path shown by late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

"Senior functionaries of AIADMK urge Thirumathi Sasikala to lead the party on the path shown by Puratchi Thalaivi Amma," AIADMK tweeted.

Sasikala was a close aide of Jayalalithaa and was by her side till her last breath.

The party held its first Cabinet meeting after the demise of Jayalalithaa on December 5.
