BNHS, the largest NGO in South Asia, engaged in nature conservation research, has introduced a unique treasure of natural history for students, researchers, naturalists and policy makers, in the form of a DVD on the first 100 volumes of the Journal of BNHS (JBNHS). This is a good opportunity to read rare and valuable articles and research papers from all the Journals of BNHS published since 1886.

JBNHS articles and research papers are a unique work in the world of natural history. The main focus of the Journal is the spread of knowledge pertaining to nature conservation and research.

The DVD was recently launched at an international conference on ‘Conserving Nature in a Globalizing India’ at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. The DVD includes insightful articles and research papers on diverse topics related to natural history like distribution of flora and fauna, habitats, botanical and zoological aspects, conservation and field research conducted in India and abroad.

Research papers by several renowned scientists and experts in the field of natural history and conservation like Jim Corbett, George Schaller, E P Gee, Dr Salim Ali, Humayun Abdulali, H G Champion and J C Daniel are covered in the DVD. It appears in a user-friendly format with browsing based on volumes, authors and articles.

The reasonably priced DVD is available at the BNHS office as well as online through the website www.bnhs.org , said the BNHS spokesperson. Kindly also find the scanned front cover of the DVD attached.
