Alcohol major Tilaknagar Industries starts trading on NSE today

Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. (TI) (BSE: 507205), India’s fastest growing manufacturer of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), has begun trading in the National Stock Exchange from today, July 16, 2010. The development is expected to improve the liquidity of the scrip and increase its accessibility across India.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Lalit Sethi, Chief Financial Officer, Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. Says, “This is a major development and comes in the wake of impressive financial performance over the last few years.” The scrip will be traded under the symbol of “TI’.

A key player in the South, TI’s flagship brand Mansion House Brandy leads the market in its segment across various markets. “With a market share of 56% in Andhra Pradesh, 78% in Kerala, 97% in Karnataka, 42% in Tamil Nadu, 78% in Pondicherry and almost 100% in Goa, Mansion House Brandy enjoys clear leadership position. With the new brands, we hope to consolidate our position in the South and foray into newer markets, especially in the West and the North, and also add to our volumes,” discloses Mr. Raja Mukherjee, General Manager (Sales and Marketing).

Recently the alcohol major announced its 4th quarter results where in they announced record gross sales of over 1000 crores (including tie-up units). Their EBIDTA and PAT were also reported at a growth of 113% and 96% respectively.

Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. (TI.) is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing and marketing of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), which consists of brandy, whisky, rum, gin and vodka. TI's brand portfolio consists of Senate Royale, Courrier Napoleon, Mansion House, Castle Club, Classic, Madira, Shot, and Hottt silk. TI brand Mansion House Brandy, crossed 4.5 million and Madira crossed 1 million cases in sales in 2009-10. At present, their products like Senate Royale Whisky and Classic Whisky are being exported to Western Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and the Caribbean countries.
