Aniruddha R Barwe, an eminent banker and highly respected name in the Indian financial services sector, expired on October 5, 2010 at the age of 72.
Barwe held many key positions during his career including Deputy Managing Director at State Bank of India; Managing Director at SBI Capital Markets and CFO at IDFC. He was on the Board of several large organizations including Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Trustee Company Ltd., Gujarat Borosil Ltd., Zenith Birla (India) Ltd., IFCI Financial Services Ltd., Kotak Mahindra New Pension Fund Scheme Ltd., MSPL Ltd. He was the Chairman Advisory Board, YEN Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd.
A condolence meeting will be held on Friday, 8th October, 2010 between 6.30 pm and 8.00 pm at the Cultural Hall, 4th floor, YB Chavan Auditorium, General J Bhosale Marg, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400 021.
