Era Infra registers 48% increase in Revenue at Rs 403.20cr for Q1FY09

Era Infra Engineering Ltd, an integrated infrastructure development company with a pan India presence, today announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008. Era Infra reported Revenue of Rs 403.20 crore for Q1FY09 as compared to Rs 271.73 in Q1FY08, registering an increase of 48%. EBIDTA for the quarter stood at Rs 89.39 crore, registering a growth of 30% compared to Rs 68.84 crore in Q1FY08. For Q1FY09, the EBITDA margin stood at 22%.

Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. H. S. Bharana, Chairman & Managing Director, Era Infra Engineering Ltd. said, “We are pleased to report an operationally good first quarter. Our robust economic growth coupled with investments in various strategic areas helped us grow faster in this competitive environment. We would continue to invest in growing our partnerships and new projects to areas where our investors will benefit the most. We are looking at a consistent, healthy growth throughout this financial year”.

Order book update
Era Infra Engineering has an order book of Rs 5153 crore. The expansion in order book has been led by multiple contracts awarded to the Company over the past few months as well as significant contribution from its various divisions.

Highlights of Q1FY09 

 

  • Era RMC division secured contract valued at Rs 20 crore for the continuous supply of RMC from Era RMC’s plant at Sahibabad till the completion of the Commonwealth Games Village.

     

  • The RMC division also secured an order from Jeet Builders Pvt. Ltd. valued at approximately Rs 4 crore involving supply of approx 13300 cum of RMC from Era’s RMC division plant at Greater Noida, for the construction of residential complexes.

     

  • Era Infra secured a contract valued at Rs 61 crore from the EPC division of Lanco Infratech Limited involving General Civil Works – I & III Packages for 2 X 600 MW Lanco Anpara Thermal Power Project, Anpara, Sonebhadra District, U.P. by Lanco Infratech Limited.

     

  • The Construction & Contracts Division bagged a prestigious contract valued at Rs 85.20 crore from Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. for the construction of EMU Maintenance Car Shed between Nallasopara & Virar stations of Western Railway through International Competitive Bidding (ICB).

     

  • The construction & contracts division bagged back to back contracts from Birla Tyres valued at Rs. 55 crores for the construction of two Tyre plants at Haridwar, Uttarakhand and Alps Industries valued at Rs. 10.5 crores for construction of Weaving and processing unit at Meerut, UP

     

  • The Construction & Contracts Division of the company bagged two contracts from Sahara India Commercial Corporation Ltd. combined worth of Rs.835 million to build Sahara homes in Jaipur and Gwalior.
