Era Infra to build new power plant at Bawana; Bags contract from BHEL

Total value of the contract (including cost of cement & steel) stands at Rs 450 cr; Commonwealth Games 2010 to get power from the Bawana plant.

Era Infra Engineering Ltd. (BSE script code: 530323 and Script ID: ERAINFRA) through their construction & contracts division has bagged a contract worth Rs 450 crore (including the cost of cement and steel) by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for the construction of new power plant at Bawana, Delhi. Under the terms of the contract, BHEL will supply cement and steel.

Era Infra Engineering will execute civil work of the value of Rs 199 crore as part of the contract. This power plant holds great significance as it will supply power to the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2010. The project is scheduled to be completed by September 2010.

The scope of work includes complete civil, structural & architectural works for main plant, balance of plant and various buildings including induced draft cooling towers at 2 x 759 MW Pragati – III combined cycle power project at Bawana.
