Orient Ceramics & Industries Ltd. (OCIL), the largest manufacturers of Non-Vitrified, Vitrified, Ultra Vitrified and 3rd Fired Decorative Tiles for walls, floors & facades and the pioneers in floor and wall solutions today announced the appointment of it’s new distributor for the region. Keeping in line with the increasing market share of southern region in Indian ceramic tiles market and in line with company’s expansion plans, OCIL will ensure availability of its brands i.e. Orient Tiles, Europa Tiles and Stiler Tiles in Tamil Nadu through a new dealers’ network of 200 to 250 dealers each chosen from the state itself. Company has already marked its presence down south with opening of its franchisee store in Coimbatore last year and one Shop-in-Shop showroom in Hyderabad this February.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Madhur Daga, Executive Director, Orient Ceramics and Industries Limited, said,
“It gives us immense pleasure today to announce appointment of distributor for Madurai region. We are continuously working towards strengthening our distributors’ network in sync with our expansion plans. Our entire product range shall now be available for the consumers. As the Southern region happens to be the largest market for tiles in India, this will further strengthen our position. We have already marked our presence here by opening a franchisee store in Coimbatore last year and one Shop-in-Shop in Hyderabad this year. After looking at the tremendous responses we have received at these two places, we propose to open a franchisee showroom in Chennai very soon.”
Mr. Vijay Shankar Sharma, CEO, Orient Ceramics and Industries Limited further added, “OCIL is a growing company and to sustain in this fast moving market, we have to continuously strengthen our distribution network. We can register our presence in each and every corner of India only through a chain of dynamic and strong distributors. The company is a well known brand in North and East India but to be a pan India player, we must capture South India as well. Keeping in mind that OCIL acquired Bell Ceramics which is famous in South and also has a manufacturing unit in Bangalore; it will ease the transportation of tiles for the region. With Bell having a market share of 20% in South India, we aspire to increase OCIL’s share in South India to 30-35 % in coming years.”
