Nexus India Capital, India's leading early stage fund has strengthened its team by inducting Mr. Pradeep Guha, a successful media professional and an active angel investor, as Venture Advisor.
Mr. Guha brings with him strong credentials and over 30 years of rich experience across many segments of the media industry.
Until recently, Mr. Guha was the Chief Executive Officer of Zee Network. His three years at Zee saw the pioneer television brand revived from its inertia into resuming its original mantle of glory as a close contender for the numero uno position in the transient world of TV channel supremacy.
Earlier, Mr. Guha was the President and Director of the Times of India Group. He is credited with the successful turnaround of its flagship newspaper and magazine brands (including The Times of India, Filmfare and Femina). He rewrote the game of media marketing with his brand-oriented sales approach that focused on value addition and volume increase with equal aplomb. Indeed the Response Department in The Times of India Group is a force to reckon with in the entire industry and a model many have followed and aped.
Announcing this key appointment, Suvir Sujan, Director, Nexus India Capital Advisors, said, "We are delighted to have Pradeep on board as our Venture Advisor. Pradeep’s deep operating experience in media is of tremendous value to many of our portfolio companies in traditional media like television and print and new media like the internet and mobile.”
Pradeep Guha said “The entrepreneurial experience of the Nexus team is a real asset to any promoter looking to start or grow a company and I look forward to working with Nexus and its portfolio to help build world class companies.”
