Sonata appoints Mahesh Shastry as Head - Global Travel Business

Sonata Software today announced the appointment of Mr. Mahesh Shastry as Head of its Global Travel business. In this position, Mahesh will oversee Sonata’s foray into the travel vertical.

In his earlier assignments, Shastry worked for Emirates Airlines for 16 years. Most recently he was with NIIT Technologies as Global Head of their Travel, Transportation and Logistics (TTL) business. Over his 19 year experience, Mahesh has transitioned from technical leadership roles to business leadership roles.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr B Ramaswamy, President and Managing Director of Sonata Software, said, “With the travel market getting increasingly competitive, travel companies are engaging with trusted and established IT partners to help them sustain their competitive advantage.
