TutorVista wins the 'Bloomberg UTV CXO award' for 'Best Distance Education through IT'

TutorVista, the world’s largest online tutoring company and a part of Pearson PLC has won the ‘Bloomberg UTV CXO award’ for ‘Best Distance Education through IT’ during the recently held award function in Mumbai. The Bloomberg UTV CXO awards 2011 were held to appreciate the efforts of business leaders, who have helped in facilitating change and progress through their technology initiatives.

Krishnan Ganesh, Founder and CEO TutorVista, said: "It gives us great pleasure accepting this award for TutorVista. We started TutorVista.com with an aim to provide affordable tutoring services globally. I am glad that every day we inch closer to realizing this goal and making quality tutoring accessible to more and more students across the globe."

The jury included members such as Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Vice Chairman & CEO, Zensar Technologies; Keki Mistry, Vice Chairman & CEO, HDFC Ltd.; S Mahalingam, CFO & ED, TCS; Ashank Desai, Co-Founder & Advisor, Mastek; Dr. Saurabh Srivastava, Chairman – India, CA Technologies; Avinash Vashistha, CMD, Accenture; Kiran Bedi, Social Activist & Former IPS Officer; Sukumar Ranganathan, Editor, Mint.

A total of 20 awards were handed out by the Chief Guest S Ramadorai, Vice-Chairman, Tata Consultancy Services, who commented on the revolution in technology.
