Many areas were water-logged this morning leading to traffic jams after Kolkata received 60 mm of rainfall since last night.

"Heavy to very heavy rain may occur at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand during next 24 hours," the regional Met office said in its forecast.

It said heavy rains might occur at isolated places over Malda, North and South Dinajpur districts in sub-Himalayan West Bengal in the next 24 hours.
