1.26 lakh violations of model code so far in Telangana

: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Rajath Kumar Tuesday said nearly 1.26 lakh violations of the election code of conduct have been reported from all over the state so far after it came into force.

An official release said these violations were related to wall-writings, posters, banners among others.

In all 55 cases have been registered so far regarding these violations, it said.

As many as 79,703 defacements of public properties have been removed and about 46,000 in private properties, the release said.
