Police said while Animesh Sarkar (40) died on spot, seven others were injured as the vehicle overturned on one side on the highway.
Of the seven injured, two had to be shifted to Jalpaiguri Hospital from Dhupguri Hospital.
The occupants were all vendors on way to local market after buying vegetables.
