Eleven employees of China's Foxconn Technology Group - best known for assembling Apple's iPhones - were injured in a drunken brawl inside a plant, officials said today.
The employees of the plant in an economic and technological development zone (ETDZ) in Yantai City of eastern Shandong Province were celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival on Friday and had a dispute after drinking, ETDZ officials said.
The dispute escalated to a brawl which left 11 workers slightly injured and attracted more than 300 onlookers.
An initial investigation showed two young female workers began arguing while surfing the Internet and the dispute escalated.
Police arrived on the scene and stopped the fight, state run Xinhua news agency reported.
The wounded received medical treatment but no one was severely injured, Foxconn said.
